Thelma Nichols, 89, of Altus, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at the Navajoe Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

Thelma Irene Cowger was born April 12, 1923 to Thomas and Gladys Cowger in Wildcat, Oklahoma. She was a seamstress at Kellwood Industries until her retirement. She loved handcrafts, gardening, and traveling with her friends.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Claudia Spence; one brother, and three sisters.

She leaves behind two daughters, Donna McNamara and husband John of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Judy Nichols of Lubbock, Texas; one son, Charles Nichols and wife Hermine of Headrick; one brother, Tommy Cowger of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
