Funeral service for Terri Jo Gill, 60, of Lawton, will beheld at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with David Bonner, Preacher, Gore Blvd. Church of Christ officiating.
Terri died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at her residence.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
She was born Aug. 18, 1952, in Hobart to Fred and Almeta Stowe. She grew up in Jackson County and was a 1970 graduate of Navajo High School. She attended Junior College in Altus and transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford where she earned both her bachelor and master degrees. While in Weatherford she met her husband, Tim Gill, and they were married on May 31, 1974 in Altus.
Terris first teaching job was with the Lookeba-Sickles Public Schools where she taught until moving to Lawton in 1976. She would teach in Geronimo and Elgin as well as in Lawton at Tomlinson Junior High School, MacArthur Junior and Senior High Schools and at Lawton High School until her retirement.
Terri was a member of the Gore Boulevard Church of Christ, the OEA and the NEA. She enjoyed scrapbooking and was a consultant with Creative Memories. However, spending time with her family and being involved in the lives of her children were always her favorite activities.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Gill, of the home; a son, Tyler Gill of Lawton; a daughter, Tara Gill of Lawton; her parents, Fred and Almeta Stow of Warren; a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Corwin Petzold of Elmer; a granddaughter, Londyn Marie Campbell of Lafayette, La.; a soon-to-be-born granddaughter, Kuleigha Jo; and a nephew, Seth Petzold.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
