Funeral services for Aubrey Leon (Toby) Elliott, 83, of Blair, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Warren Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Heflin officiating. Aubrey Leon (Toby) Elliott was born to Orvel and Beatrice (Roach) Elliott in Warren on April 3, 1929, and departed this life in Altus, Oklahoma on Dec. 3, 2012.

Toby grew up in Warren and graduated from Warren High School in 1947. He married Vanita Goolsby in Warren on June 5, 1949. His cousin, Rev. Ardron Hinton, officiated. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in August 1953 and was discharged in June 1955. He worked for the Sinclair service station in Blair before going to work as an appliance salesman and repairman for Knox Hardware/ Savage Hardware in Blair. Toby enjoyed polishing rocks, tinkering with a little of everything and collecting coins and rocks. He was a member of Warren Missionary Baptist Church and was saved and baptized at the age of 14. He was also a Board member of the Warren Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Cretia Elliott; and a daughter, Janette Elliott.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Tammy Ratcliff of Altus; a brother, Jerry Elliott of Chickasha; a sister, Gaylon and husband Steve Martin of Mangum; a granddaughter, Holly Ratcliff; and many other relatives and friends.
