James Clifford Stout, 64, of Altus, went to be with his Heavenly Father Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013.

Jim was born Oct 9, 1948 in Altus to Carl and Ruby (Renfro) Stout. Jim grew up in Altus and graduated Altus High School in 1966. He went on to graduate from the University of Oklahoma in 1970.

On May 27, 1973, Jim married Deborah Craig. They lived in several cities around the country as Jim built his career in the finance industry. They moved back to Altus in 1989 where he worked at Jackson County Memorial Hospital for 16 years. He was a member and served as a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Altus. Everyone that knew Jim, knew of his love for anything OU. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was especially proud of his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Lori Kay.

He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Jamie Wilkins and husband Barry of Dallas, Texas, and Courtney Wallace of Altus; a son, Craig Stout and wife Sarah of Owasso; four grandchildren, Kina, Emily, Ryan and Levi; one sister, Carlotta Claiborne of Denton, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clifford Peterson Trust at the First Baptist Church or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lowell-Tims Chapel with the Rev. Doug Altom officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
