Doris V. Tygerson, 95, of Altus, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Michael Fairchild officiating. Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Doris V. Reddick was born on Aug. 3, 1917 in Arnett to George and Marie (Crossman) Reddick. She married Richard A. Tygerson on Oct. 7, 1955 at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, Calif. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone as an operator in Sacramento before retiring. Mrs. Tygerson was a Lutheran and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very active lady who loved ceramics, crafts and playing bridge.

She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Dawnie Lee Sikes; two brothers, Mike and Pat Reddick; and a sister, Billye Schmidt.

Survivors include her husband, Richard, of the home; a daughter, Joanne Easterling of Olustee; three grandchildren, Carol Hultz and husband Victor of Missouri, Jimmy Geigle of Altus, and Dennis Easterling and wife Mary; five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Rhonda, James Wesley, Jake and Lane; three great-great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob and Layne; and a sister, Joyce Chamberlain of Godfrey, Ill.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
