Funeral service for Leon Jones, 50, of Snyder, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Roosevelt with the Rev. Tim Tutten, Pastor officiating.
Leon died Friday, April 12, 2013 in Oklahoma City.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, South of Cooperton,under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born June 16, 1962 in Hobart to Leo and Renetta Elise (Town) Jones. He married Molly A. Giblet on Sept. 3, 2005 at Tom Steed Lake, near Mountain Park. Leon was a professional Farrier, which is a specialist in Equine foot care. He had his own business, and serviced horses all over Southwest Oklahoma. Leon truly loved his family, especially his wife Molly, his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Molly of the home; children, Cynthia Decker and husband Ryan of Blair, Jennifer Buchanan and husband Ricky of Mountain Park, Kaley Hilliard and husband Billy of Virginia Beach, Va., Kasey Leon Jones of the Jones Home Place, Mountain Park, Jenny Giblet of Springfield, Va., T.J. Giblet of Snyder, Candice Giblet of Indianapolis, Ind.; brother, Joel Scheppert and his wife Robbie of Stark City, Mo.; sisters, Charlene Bower of Snyder, and Arlene Riley; 10 grandchildren, Kaydence and MaKenlee Decker, Kyleigha, Jayden, Adalyn, Gavyn Lee Leo and Faith Buchanan, Noah and Grace Hilliard and Hadley Brooke Jones; aunt, Jimmy Lou Jones, aunt and uncle Joyce and Olvis Jones, Snyder, uncle,Billy Zane Jones of Bosque Farms, N.M.; and a nephew, Shad Scheppert.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Pinky Jones; his uncle, DeVern Jones; and his aunt, Jeneal Riley.
